Celebrating Macc Pride
We proudly marched in this year’s Macc Pride on Saturday 5th July - standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community and celebrating diversity in Macclesfield and across our wider communities.
Joining forces with HouseProud Northwest, a network championing LGBTQ+ inclusivity in social housing, and fellow housing provider Stockport Homes, we highlighted our commitment to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive homes.
At Peaks & Plains, our purpose is to provide safe homes and thriving communities through our commitment to inclusion and equality. As we celebrate Pride, we also reaffirm our ongoing commitment to creating inclusive and equitable communities for all. Our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy is at the heart of everything we do - ensuring that every voice is heard. We are proud to have taken part in this year's Macc Pride.

As part of the celebration, the event also spotlighted ‘Rainbow Roofs’, a regional forum giving LGBTQ+ social housing tenants across the Northwest a powerful voice. Rainbow Roofs provide a vital platform to share lived experiences, influence social housing policy, and help shape truly inclusive services. They’re all about making real changes for residents.
