We have plans to build six new affordable homes for rent on the former Hurdsfield Community Centre site.
The community centre, which has been a dangerous and derelict eyesore since 2007, will be replaced with two three-bedroom houses and four two-bedroom family houses.

Designed by Bowker Sadler Architecture, these striking new homes will go a long way to help to lift this really popular area of Macclesfield.
With support from a Homes England Grant, these will be the first houses to be built as part of our commitment to build 750 high quality homes over the next five years.
As part of the five-year plan, we've pledged to create safe, warm and comfortable places for people to live, as well as deliver ambitious regeneration plans for Macclesfield Town and in other areas of Cheshire East.
Once planning permission has been finalised the build will commence in Winter 2018.
We are delighted to build much needed affordable, quality family homes in Hurdsfield, Macclesfield. In this area and across Cheshire and the High Peak there is a very clear need for well-designed homes built with families in mind and we’re keen to provide that choice for our customers.
We have lost homes through the Right to Buy scheme across Macclesfield. There is a clear demand for affordable homes in this really popular area. These high-quality homes are helping to fill that gap.
