Fire incident update: Blossom Grove, Nantwich

On 10 August 2022 at about 15:23 Cheshire Fire and Rescue was called to one of our homes at Blossom Grove, Nantwich.

The property was empty when the fire broke out and fortunately no one was injured.

However, there is extensive fire and water damage to the house.

Until we know more - from engineers, inspectors and insurers - we will continue to work closely with our customer and those neighbouring residents who have been directly affected to make sure that they:

  • have appropriate temporary accommodation
  • are reimbursed for reasonable expenses (eg food)
  • have all the information and support they need

We will know more about the next steps when we have carried out the necessary structural investigations.

We await the fire service’s full and expert investigation to the cause of the fire.

Alongside Cheshire Fire and Rescue we continue to work with our partners - including Cheshire West Council, Cheshire East Council and our insurers - to move this forward and to repair the damage caused by the fire.

We are in regular contact with the affected residents, but if anyone else has a question about the fire they can email it to trust@peaksplains.org and we will publish our answers on this page.
