Trustlink update

We recently carried out a review of all our services in order to deliver our new five-year plan, which will see a total of £30million invested to benefit our customers across both Cheshire East and High Peak.

Five Year Plan

Over the past eight years we have been delivering the Cheshire East Assistive Technology contract, along with other telecare contracts, to enable customers using this service to live safely and independently in their own homes.

This is in addition to providing the service to private customers. Our Trustlink service has received a 92-98% satisfaction rate with our customers (2016/17) and was highly commended by the Telecare Services Association.

However, due to shifts in the telecare market and delays in the re-tendering process for our main contract, we have taken the decision to review this offering and cease to provide this service.

Our decision to exit the telecare market has not been taken lightly, nor without thorough and expert analysis, and we are determined to find the best provider to seamlessly take the service over for our customers. Another key aim will be to ensure that we can transfer staff over to the new provider.

We are extremely proud of the team who provide this support. Until we have found the right organisation to offer the same excellent level of service, our staff will continue to provide this care to all of our customers.

We are currently working closely with Cheshire East Council, and the other organisations that we provide this service for, to agree the best way forward. In doing so, we will remain true to our commitment to do everything in our power to ensure customers get the best possible outcome.

What happens now?

If you are a Trustlink customer you don’t need to do anything. Nothing is changing yet. We just wanted to update you.

We’ll be touch with you personally when we have more news.
