Peaks & Plains joiner celebrated for his passion and dedication

Each year Housing24 magazine celebrates some of the most extraordinary and dedicated people in the housing sector. This year they recognised joiner Lee Cartledge for his long-service, generosity of spirit and team skills.

Lee was a joinery apprentice with Macclesfield Borough Council, and qualified as a Joiner in August 1993, when he joined Peaks & Plains Housing Trust and has been part of the Void Team for 26 years.

A true team player, Lee is always the first the help out his colleagues and support the team to achieve their goals. His personality is a real strength and he is highly respected by all who work with him.

Simon Worthington - Voids Team Manager

Lee has played a key mentor role at the Trust working with new team members and apprentices over the years to help them develop their practical joinery skills, and soft skills working with new customers in their homes.

He’s incredibly trustworthy and is extremely personable – qualities that he has passed on to younger members of staff, which has allowed the Trust’s Void and Repairs team to build excellent relationships with customers to help improve lives.

Gary Naylor - Head of Repairs
