Social media house rules

We use our social media channels every day to share news, provide important updates, and hear your opinions. This page is created to ensure that users are familiar with the rules and our platform remains safe and respectful to everyone.

Platforms that we use

We share our content on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and we regularly post updates and upcoming events on our Google page, which can be found if you search "Peaks & Plains".

What to expect from us

  • We monitor our social media accounts from 8.30am to 4.30pm from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays and closure days, which we always inform you about). In case of emergency call us on 0800 012 1311 or go to our emergency page.
  • We aim to respond to queries on social media as quickly as possible, depending on our capacity, we may take up to five working days to respond.
  • We create content that is accessible for everyone.
  • We are respectful and polite.

What we expect from you

  • Be respectful and don't swear.
  • Please keep comments focused on the original topic. If you have a complaint about a different issue, please submit a form on our complaint page.
  • We will remove comments that are:

- abusiveĀ or obsceneĀ 

- include any personal data about yourself, neighbours or members of staff

- referring to suicide or causing distress to others (we will contact you to signpost to the support services)

- promote discrimination based on age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, religion and sexual orientation

- violate any intellectual property rights, including copyright

- spam

- are deliberately deceptive or misleading

- are promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions
