Access to Information - Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements

A new Trust policy framework setting out how we meet our obligations to provide tenants with clear, timely, and accessible information, ensuring every tenant knows their rights, responsibilities, and how to get support.

The STAIRs policy is being developed as part of our commitment to transparency and tenant empowerment.

It will set clear standards for how Peaks & Plains communicates with tenants, covering the information we provide, when we provide it, and how tenants can access it. Full policy documentation, guidance, and supporting materials will be published here on 1 October 2026.

What STAIRs covers

  1. Clear standards for what information tenants are entitled to, and how to request it.
  2. The formats, channels, and timeframes we commit to for all tenant communications.
  3. Ensuring information is provided in formats that work for every tenant, including alternative formats on request.
  4. How we handle your personal data, what we hold, and your rights under UK data protection law.
