Gas servicing

Find out what's involved in your annual gas service, we will do our best to answer any questions you may have.

A little bit like a car, if a boiler isn’t serviced regularly, it might not be performing to the best of its ability, it might break down, or worse, leak gas or produce carbon monoxide which is extremely dangerous.

An annual boiler service goes a long way towards preventing problems, ensuring efficiency and keeping your energy bills to a minimum, something we all like the sound of.

Your appointment will usually take around 45 minutes or 90 minutes if you have a gas fire too. You simply need to be in to allow access, or arrange for somebody to be in on your behalf.

Let us know when you are available and we can reschedule.

You can reschedule by:

  • Drop us an email letting us know times & dates when you will be available to lgsr@peaksplains.org
  • Complete the form below
  • Call us on 0800 012 1311

• Ask a friend, relative or neighbour to help out.

• Ask us about an early morning or late afternoon slot (very occasionally we can arrange a Saturday appointment)

Yes. Each certificate is valid for a maximum of one year from the date it was completed. As per the Gas Regulations and our legal duties as a landlord, we cannot allow the current certificate to expire. Your expiry date can be found at the bottom of your current certificate.

We will be in touch prior to your current certificate expiring with an appointment so don’t worry, this isn’t another thing for you to remember each year!

We electronically store your certificate for you, on your house file, here at Peaks & Plains. You will be asked by the engineer after your gas safety check if you would like a copy of this certificate, if you do, we will pop one in the post to you or email you a copy.

Absolutely not. Health & Safety is our priority and access must be provided for the gas safety checks. Failure to cooperate will result in us having no other option but to take legal action for access, all costs incurred will be passed back to you.
