Why bother?

Getting involved in the Trust can seem like a lot of work, so why bother?

Well, the first thing is that it doesn’t have to be hard work! You don’t have to come to meetings unless you want to, and it’s up to you how much time you spend getting involved. There’s something to suit everyone, no matter what you’re interested in or how much free time you have.

It’s also a great way to learn new skills and meet new people. Residents who join our Challenge Group or become a Tenant Inspector receive specialist training, learning the sort of skills that can help you in any aspect of your life, like working in a team, using a computer and building your confidence.

Finally, getting involved can make a real difference to your community and neighbours. Residents have worked with the Trust since we were launched, and have improved our services in every area. They have helped to choose our contractors and made sure that our performance has continued to improve.
