Our Green Finger awards 2017 winners have been announced…

The results are in for the Peaks & Plains 2017 Gardening Competition and this year we’ve seen some phenomenal entries, making it the toughest year yet.

Congratulations goes to…

Marie McHardy of High Legh, Knutsford who won two prizes: Best Garden Feature and Best Rear Garden.

Mrs Susan Few of Lyme Green, Macclesfield won the Best Hanging Basket/Tub award.

Winstanley House won the Best Communal Garden this year for their beautiful garden.

Mr and Mrs Heathcote of Lyme Green, Macclesfield and Mrs Sheila Coulson of Thorntree Bungalows, Lower Withington were the joint winners of the Best Front garden award.

For the first time ever, we introduced an addition prize for Most Improved Garden. This was awarded to Lawrence House in Poynton. The residents did a fantastic job in transforming their garden into something very special.

All our winners received a £50 voucher and a congratulatory certificate for their hard work and grand gardening skills.

We are already looking forward to next year’s entries – Garden gloves at the ready.
