Trust's governance upgraded by the Regulator of Social Housing

We've worked hard to improve our governance rating.

In July 2019, we reported the Trust to the Regulator of Social Housing. We knew that the way we managed health and safety compliance did not meet their all-important Home Standard. The next month, we began a Trust-wide action plan to remedy the problems.

Current regulatory judgement: Cheshire Peaks & Plains Housing Trust Limited (29 September 2021) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

A year and a half on and we are delighted to say that the regulator is satisfied with the steps we have taken and the investment we have made to put this right. We’re extremely proud of the work that our teams have done to get to this point.

The regulator has reinstated our compliant grading and I really hope that this reassures you that we take the safety of your home very seriously. Compliance will remain a top priority for the Trust.”

Jane McCall, Chair of the Board

Although this is a fantastic achievement, this is not the end of the story for us. We are already working on the next phase of this work to further improve our records, the way we plan and deliver our services and how we can better involve you in our services.
